STVOL.TV — LOCKED CLUB
This insane set takes place in a club somewhere in Russia. The DJs are literally wearing chain mail, blasting techno, and drinking vodka. What more could you ask for? More unhinged stuff goes on during the set but I’ll leave you to see it for yourself :D
This set goes undeniably hard though, Locked Club are masters of their craft. They manage to weave mind-blowing explosive moments together with euphoric uplifing ones. It’s a wild ride, I love it.
I found a bunch of new favourite tracks from this set:
- Doschitai - Locked Club
- It’s My Rave - Locked Club
- Sadism - Locked Club
- Edu V Egipet - Locked Club
- Carte Blanche - Veracocha
- Kuliki - Locked Club
And there are some old favourites in the mix too:
- Eins Zwei Polizei - Mo-Do
- Du Hast - Rammstein
I can’t really explain it much more besides saying… just watch it!
Partiboi69 b2b KETTAMA - House, Electro and Techno Set Live from the Stingzone
You know a set is gonna be good when the DJ shows up wearing a “69” tracksuit and a new balance sneaker hanging off a chain round his neck then his b2b partner phases into existence next to him.
Besides being a talented Aussie musician, producer, and DJ, Partyboi69 has such a positive energy and an incredible sense of humour. His “Live from the Stingzone” sets are all pretty good but b2b with KETTAMA is my favourite. To be fair, it was probably the first time I came across partyboi69. One of those special moments when you discover something that you had no idea you wanted.
Kreepin Kut - VIGILE and My Life Extra - DJ Technics are some of my top tracks in the mix. At what is probably the climax of of the set, KETTAMA mixes in the insane drop from Doschitai - Locked Club, which you might recognise if you watched the STVOL.TV — LOCKED CLUB set! It totally catches Partyboi off guard too (I think the track was only a couple months old at the time).
Do yourself a massive favour and watch the set!
Fred again.. | Boiler Room: London
This video is super popular for a reason. Fred again.. absolutely kills it with his boiler room set. Easily my favourite DJ set that I found in 2023, which says a lot because I found a lot of great stuff in 2023. I truly believe my entire year was elevated because of this one video.
It’s hard to single out any particular favourites from this set, as the track list is basically just hit after hit from Fred again.. (although I am quite partial to Strong - Romy, Fred again..). Fred again.. has a skilful control of the energy, building up to some seriously moving moments, and of course some massive drops.
Fred is a genuinely wholesome performer too. At one point, a guy accidentally bumps his equipment and completely cuts out the music, but Fred recovers in absolute style and then gives the guy a hug.
If you haven’t seen this yet, I’m so happy to be the reason that you found it!
Lady Shaka | Boiler Room New Zealand: FILTH

Minna-no-kimochi (みんなのきもち) | Boiler Room Tokyo: Tohji Presents u-ha
I died and went to trance heaven

Volume 2 - Bunker Rave
Back in December of 2021, one of my mates was off to his flatmate’s DJ set in Miramar, Wellington NZ, and I got invited along on a spur of the moment kinda thing! Probably the coolest DJ set I’ve ever been to… It was in a fricken bunker! Like what more could you ask for? Danced with my friends for a couple hours to mostly House and DnB music, it was perfect.
It’s not the most polished or professional recording, but it documents a great night of my life and I’m glad it was recorded. Afterwards, I had a moment of clarity where I realised I wanted to pursue DJing and music production. I’m still lagging a bit on that front but we’ll get there.
I don’t know if I would recommend this clip beyond just something to play in the background, but it’s a special, sentimental moment for me.
HUH? presents: Marie Davidson + Baitong∽xystems + personalbrand
