I love this album!

I first came across this album around mid-2019 and my love for it grew the more I listened to it. Now, I think it’s one of my favourite albums.

Make It Forever is a major hook for me. It’s got such a bittersweet, kinda shoegazey, kinda poppy sound. It really pulls the right strings in my brain. When I first heard this track, it seriously opened up my mind. Easily my favourite track on the album.

Somehow, this album manages to sound upbeat while also sounding like it’s been slowed down. It’s such a cool effect, and I think because of it, it seems to create this relaxed, nostalgic feeling while also leading up to some pretty massive drops. (You Lost Me There)

There are also some really peaceful, synthy, vaporwavey tracks in there that give you time to sit dreamily and reflect on the more intense tracks. (Blast Off, Encore)

For me this album felt like a fresh new take on vaporwave, marking the beginning of some kind of new era of “vaporwave” with more creativity and artistry. Looking back on it, I guess it isn’t exactly a vaporwave album, but it is still pretty hard to classify. I guess that’s why George Clanton calls it electronica ;-)

At the very least, make sure you listen to Livin’ Loose, Make It Forever and You Lost Me There (But really, give the whole thing a listen!)
